Do you have a criminal background and are struggling to gain employment? South Seattle College wants to help you get training and back to work! All of these programs prepare students for the workplace and have career readiness and employer engagement embedded into each training. The Life-Skills-to-Work (LSW) process provides students with the Learn-to-Learn & Cognitive Behavior skill-sets needed for successful transition from prison & jail back to the community. The course work emphasizes practical skills development, assessment tools and application for successful education, training, employment and family reintegration. Intensive case management includes resume and cover letter writing and online job application, mock interview skills, employment referrals and job search assistance, career and educational counseling, and youth employment program.
