Job Opportunities 9/15/15

Military Sealift Command is hosting a career fair at Rainier Worksource located at 2531 Rainier Ave S,Seattle 98144 on Thursday, September 17th. Information sessions will be held at 10am, 11am and 12 noon. There are many careers available that provide advancement opportunities and competitive pay. YWCA is holding a job and resource fair on Tuesday, September 22nd. It runs from 9:30am to 1:30pm and will take place at the YWCA Greenbridge Learning Center at 9720 8th Ave SW,Seattle 98106. This event will have employers from many different fields including healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, and transportation. Bring your résumé and dress to impress. This will also be an opportunity to sign up for Metro’s low income fare discount, ORCA LIFT



TransDev is hiring for Para-Transit drivers. They will be holding a recruiting event for drivers on Wednesday, September 23rd from 1-4pm at WorkSource Auburn. Para-Transit drivers are not required to have their CDL and make more than $15/hour plus benefits. South Seattle College has space for more students in the First Steps Program. This 11 week training program gives students the tools to succeed in a wide variety of office and administrative jobs. In today’s economy, nearly every job requires some amount of interaction with computers. If you feel like your lack of experience or comfort with technology has kept you from finding a position, this program is a great place to start. All tuition and books are paid for if you are low income, unemployed or on food stamps. Orientation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th at 1pm in the Robert Smith Building Room 81 at South Seattle College, 6000 16th Ave SW.
