This is a message about ORCA LIFT
information and enrollment.
King
County Metro and Group Health have organized an ORCA LIFT card sign up event on Friday, March 6, 4:30-6pm at Group Health, 5316 Rainier Ave S. Seattle. English- and
Spanish-speaking Public Health representatives will be available to answer
questions and help low-income individuals get their ORCA LIFT card same-day. Must bring
proof of income.
King County
created the new ORCA LIFT reduced fare program to make public transportation
more affordable for those who need it most. The ORCA LIFT fare can be used on
Metro Transit buses, Sound Transit Link light rail, the Seattle Streetcar, King
County Water Taxi and Kitsap Transit buses.
To qualify for
the reduced fare program, a person’s household income must be no more than 200
percent of the federal poverty level as established by the U.S. Health and
Human Services Department.
