Greetings. If you or someone you know are age 14-21, or you are a parent of youth 14-21, I want to let you know about the Youth Education, Career, and Resource Fair, next Wednesday, February 22nd from 10am to 2pm at Rainier Community Center.Looking for a job, info about 2-year or 4-year colleges, or a way to earn service learning hours at a local nonprofit? Want to meet local employers, college representatives and learn about jobs and other community resources? At the Youth Education, Career, and Resource Fair, you will have the opportunity to network with up to 70 employers, non-profit agencies, and 2-year and 4-year colleges. You can gain valuable information and skills by attending interactive workshops on a variety of educational and job-readiness topics such as resume writing, college access & post-secondary planning, and exploring career opportunities in skilled trades, video game design and the sciences. The fair is sponsored by City of Seattle Human Services Department in partnership with Parks & Recreation, Metrocenter YMCA, SeaMar, and Youthcare.
