Seattle Veterans Stand Down 9/11 at SCCC

If you or someone you know is veteran and are homeless or at risk of homelessness, I want to let you know about the Seattle Stand Down next Wednesday September 11th at Seattle Central Community College from 9 to 2.

On September 11th, 2013, the third annual Seattle Stand Down will take place at Seattle Central Community College.  This event is all volunteer lead and supports our at-risk and homeless veterans by providing resources and services such as employment resources, housing services, legal advice, medical and dental assistance, food, and other social and human services.  They have expanded this year’s Stand Down in order to reach those veterans who have stumbled and are in need of assistance to get back on their feet. Part of this effort will continue to include a women-specific room that will cater to, and include resources for women veterans.
