Job Opportunities This Week

This message is regarding a number of hiring events, job opportunities, and employment trainings happening in the area this week.

DIRECTV is currently seeking Satellite Installation Technicians to join its Washington team. Potbelly Sandwich Shop is currently hiring for a number of positions in and around Seattle.  Positions include associate, delivery biker, delivery driver, musician, and  food preparation. Associated Recreational Council (ARC) is hiring for multiple child care positions.  Positions range from child care counselor to basketball official with many other positions calling for specific skills to teach the children.  ARC has programs in a number of neighborhoods throughout Seattle.  Apply to these positions by visiting arcseattle.org. The Northeast Branch of the Seattle Public Library will be holding a workshop series on resume writing geared toward teens and young adults.  This event is titled Get a Job! Career Series: Résumés 1.  At this workshop, you will be able to get several suggestions on how to set up your resume.  The program will take place on March 3rd, from 6:30 to 7:30pm.  It will be held in the Teen Room at the Ravenna Eckstein Community Center which is located at 6535 Ravenna Ave. N.E., Seattle 98115.  This program is free and requires registration.  Call (206) 684-7539 to reserve a spot in the class.

The Homeless Intervention Project (HIP) is an employment and job-training program that helps homeless individuals find and maintain full-time employment through job counseling, case management, and paid training. If you are homeless and motivated to work full-time, attend the orientation for assistance with job searching, retention, training and education, work clothing, and tools.  This orientation will be held on Tuesday, March 4th from 10 to 11am at the WorkSource Affiliate in Downtown Seattle.  The address is 2024 3rd Avenue, Seattle 98121.
