Job opportunities this week

The YWCA Basic Food Employment and Training Program (BFET) program works with job seekers and students that are receiving DSHS basic food in King County. BFET program will assist with Case Management, Job Search Assistance, Job Readiness that includes Resume, Cover Letter, Interview Tips, Reference Page and Thank You Letter Format, Resources, and Life Skills that's includes Money Management, CPR/First Aid, etc. To learn more, contact Larissa Lincoln, YWCA BFET Employment Specialist at 206-336-7000.

Goodwill is having a Hiring Event Thursday, March 27, 2014  10am – 1pm at WorkSource Downtown YMCA, Second Floor, 2024 Third Avenue, Seattle 98121. They are hiring for Sales Associate, Production Associate and Material Handler. Part-time to full-time positions at $10.00 per hour. First Student is hiring for multiple school bus drivers to work 25 to 35 hours per week.  No CDL experience is needed and the employer will train qualified candidates.  Must have a valid state driver's license and 3 years driving experience. No more than 2 moving violations and/or 2 minor accidents within the past 36 months. An update on the free healthcare Job Training Programs at the Community Colleges from last week: If you, or someone you know are looking for free job training in the Healthcare Field, food stamp recipients can access a free short-term job training program at the Seattle Community Colleges through the Neighborhood House Healthcare Career Pathways Program. Contact the Navigator for the College you’re interested in to attend a monthly orientation.
