Job Opportunities and Community Resources

This message is about upcoming job opportunities, hiring events and career trainings in the Seattle area.

WorkSource North Seattle at North Seattle Community College is hosting two sessions with Riverstone Residential recruiting staff on Thursday July 10th. Session 1 is from 9am-10:30am and Session 2 is from 10:30am- 12pm. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED at worksourcenorth.eventbrite.com

Worksource Auburn is having a

Goodwill is hiring!  Positions in Ballard, South Lake Union and Shoreline include multiple CDL Truck Drivers, Custodians, Donation Station Attendants, Production Associates, Material Handlers and Sales Associates. Jobaline is a resource for hundreds of jobs in and around Seattle available in Spanish and English.  Posted this week are openings for 30 house cleaners at Homejoy and openings at CLP including Electricians, Laborers, Carpenters, Welders, Pipefitters and Painters. Pioneer Human Services offers a variety of employment trainings including:  Roadmap to Success; Culinary training; Manufacturing Academy (10 weeks) and is looking to offer Warehouse Logistics, Food distribution and an Administrative track later in 2014. These services are available to individuals currently or previously incarcerated. This week they have 35 job openings in Seattle for Food Service Workers, Resident Monitors, Machinists, Press Break Operators and more. The King County Jobs Initiative helps King County residents who have been incarcerated move beyond the stigma of jail time and into living-wage jobs. The Account Executives for King County Jobs Initiative provide case management for client assessment, identification of barriers to employment and enrollment into appropriate training. There is funding for support services to help clients find and retain jobs. These support services include interview training and access to job clothing, short-term trainings, and transportation.  Also provided is assistance finding quality child care throughout the process, call 206-329-5544 or visit childcare.org/family-services.
